We Are Your Morgan Silver Dollar Specialist
We specialize in Morgan Silver Dollars minted by the United States from 1878 to 1904 and then again in 1921. These old silver dollars circulated during the “Wild West” and are considered to be some of the most beautiful coins ever minted by the United States for circulation.
The coin was designed by George T. Morgan in 1878. Instead of the usual Greek style figure to represent Liberty, Morgan uses and American woman named Anna Willess Williams. Production of the coin began on March 11, 1878. The first acceptable strike was coined at 3:17 p.m. at the Philadelphia mint and was given to President Rutherford B. Hayes.
We are strong buyers for the Carson City Morgan dollars housed in black GSA boxes lined with blue felt lining. These were released for sale to the public on October 31, 1972 and were romanticized to be “The Coins Jesse James Never Got”.
